Regular Maintenance Extends Printer Life
Like any precision machine, your 3D printer needs regular maintenance.
Daily
- Check build plate cleanliness (wipe with isopropyl alcohol)
- Inspect first layer quality
- Remove filament debris from extruder gear
Weekly
- Clean and lubricate Z-axis lead screws
- Check belt tension
- Inspect nozzle for wear
Monthly
- PID tuning (hotend and bed)
- Replace nozzle if needed (hardened steel for abrasive filaments)
- Clean heat break and heat sink
- Lubricate linear rails/rods
Nozzle Care
Replace brass nozzles every 2-3kg of filament. For abrasive filaments, use hardened steel or tungsten nozzles. Our ANTINSKY tungsten nozzles last 5x longer than brass and offer excellent thermal conductivity.
